Dylan

Rolling down the highway with the radio on

Acting so silly to our favorite song

Telling dumb jokes till we started to cry

Making weird sounds as the miles went by

Those are the memories I hold so tight

Just me and you, Dylan, in the dashboard light

I am so proud of the progress you've made

And the handsome young man that you are today

With a beautiful heart and a spirit so bright

Walking with God and living it right

No matter how old you grow or how far

Dylan, you'll always be my shining star

I've watched you face mountains and push right through

There's a true overcomer inside of you

So motivated, standing so tall

You lift people up when they stumble and fall

I look at you now and I just have to smile

You've carried that grace every step of the mile

I am so proud of the progress you've made

And the handsome young man that you are today

With a beautiful heart and a spirit so bright

Walking with God and living it right

No matter how old you grow or how far

Dylan, you'll always be my shining star

I love you so much, more than words can say

I thank the Lord for my son every day

Keep trusting your faith, keep holding your ground

There is so much joy in the strength you have found

'Cause I am so proud of the progress you've made

And the wonderful man that you are today

With a beautiful heart and a spirit so bright

Walking with God and living it right

No matter how old you grow or how far

Dylan, you'll always be my shining star
