Mike

You've always had a way of breaking through the quiet

A caring heart that never tries to hide it

I still picture us just rolling down the street

With the radio playing to a simple beat

There wasn't a single raincloud in the sky

But you turned the windshield wipers on to drive

Just to see me crack a smile and start to laugh

Mike, you've always had a special gift for that

I want you to know that you are deeply loved

When the road gets heavy and push comes to shove

I am right here beside you, through the highs and the lows

You're a beautiful friend, and I hope it shows

Whatever comes our way, we have the key

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

We've spent hours chasing ghosts around a screen

Playing Pac-Man till we ran out of steam

You're so quick to give your love to someone else

Sometimes you forget to save some for yourself

So whenever you are feeling kind of blue

I will wrap my arms around and hold onto you

Let you know it's okay to let down your guard

'Cause carrying the weight shouldn't be so hard

I want you to know that you are deeply loved

When the road gets heavy and push comes to shove

I am right here beside you, through the highs and the lows

You're a beautiful friend, and I hope it shows

Whatever comes our way, we have the key

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Your humor is a light when the world goes dark

You've got a gentle spirit and a faithful heart

I just want to reflect all the grace you've shown

And make sure that you never have to walk alone

Mike, I want you to know that you are deeply loved

When the road gets heavy and push comes to shove

I am right here beside you, through the highs and the lows

You're a beautiful friend, and I hope it shows

Whatever comes our way, we have the key

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Yeah, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
