Pam

Out on the water with a line in the lake

You never took nonsense or suffered a fake

Pam, you've got wisdom and a quick-witted style

We'd sit there fishing and laughing a while

You're lovable, honest, and wholly unique

The exact kind of sister a person would seek

We may not share a family tree

But you're the truest sister to me

When everybody else turned around and walked away

You stood right beside me and promised to stay

We don't need blood to make us a home

With you in my corner, I'm never alone

Windows rolled down on a long stretch of road

Sharing the memories and lightening the load

Pulling up to the concert as the sun started sinking

I watched you out dancing and couldn't help thinking

Spinning around in the bed of your truck

Having a bond like this is pure luck

We may not share a family tree

But you're the truest sister to me

When everybody else turned around and walked away

You stood right beside me and promised to stay

We don't need blood to make us a home

With you in my corner, I'm never alone

You tell it like it is, you don't sugarcoat the truth

You've got an old soul and the spirit of youth

When the whole world went dark and they left me behind

You were the steady hand I needed to find

We may not share a family tree

But you're the truest sister to me

When everybody else turned around and walked away

You stood right beside me and promised to stay

No, we don't need blood to make us a home

Pam, with you in my corner, I'm never alone
