Lisa

It took so many years for our paths to cross

Wandering through seasons of finding and loss

We had to learn how to wait for the sign

Trusting in God's perfect timing, not mine

Now two separate journeys have finally become one

Standing together right here in the sun

Oh Lisa, you're a sight for sore eyes

So beautiful and bright, my sweetest surprise

Your selfless love is unconditional and true

I thank the Lord every morning for you

And when you pull me close, there is nothing I lack

Hmmm, I love the way you kiss me like that

You give of yourself without asking a thing

A quiet kind of grace that makes my heart sing

When the world gets heavy and the days get long

Your steady, tender heart is where I belong

I look at my wife and I finally see

Exactly where I was always meant to be

Oh Lisa, you're a sight for sore eyes

So beautiful and bright, my sweetest surprise

Your selfless love is unconditional and true

I thank the Lord every morning for you

And when you pull me close, there is nothing I lack

Hmmm, I love the way you kiss me like that

Joshua one, verse nine is the truth that we hold

Strong and courageous, brave and bold

We won't be afraid, we won't be dismayed

For the Lord is beside us in the steps we've made

Wherever we go, His hand is our guide

Walking this road with you by my side

Now every evening I rest in your light

And hold you so close in the stillness of night

The years of the waiting were worth every tear

Because Heaven's design has brought you right here

Oh Lisa, you're a sight for sore eyes

So beautiful and bright, my sweetest surprise

Your selfless love is unconditional and true

I thank the Lord every morning for you

And when you pull me close, there is nothing I lack

Hmmm, I love the way you kiss me like that

Yeah, Lisa, I love the way you kiss me like that
