Lakyra

You always have a warm plate of food to share

Seasoned with your laughter, showing how you care

Smart and so thoughtful, you light up the room

Chasing away everybody else's gloom

You try to help the world, carrying the weight

I see you pushing through with so much on your plate

Lakyra, you are my endangered species

A rare kind of soul, my wonderful middle girl

When the trials come and try to take your peace

Don't you give up, don't you hide from the world

Keep on being kind, stay right on track

'Cause I promise you, baby, God has your back

I smile when I look back on family vacations

All the joy we shared across our destinations

And when Cierra fell sick, you didn't hesitate

Flew out to California, took on the weight

Always there for Malika whenever she's in need

You push through the pressure, you plant a loving seed

I know your heart's been broken a few times before

By people that you trusted, who walked out the door

But you never let the cold turn your spirit to stone

You still give them your all, you still set the tone

Through every single tear and the lessons you've known

You keep on giving love, and you're never on your own

Lakyra, you are my endangered species

A rare kind of soul, my wonderful middle girl

When the trials come and try to take your peace

Don't you give up, don't you hide from the world

Keep on being kind, stay right on track

'Cause I promise you, baby, God has your back

Yeah, my beautiful middle girl, God has your back
