Dorthy

Through all the times the shadows tried to fall

I had a friend who answered every call

You speak the truth and chase the clouds away

I thank the Lord for you every single day

Sister Dorthy, you're a vessel of His grace

Bringing His sunshine to every single space

Oh, happy birthday, Dorthy, let your cup overflow

With the love and the peace that you constantly show

You are my sweet encouragement, a spark in the dark

Leaving the goodness of God on my heart

Have a blessed birthday today, my dear friend

May His favor surround you, world without end

When the road got heavy and my spirit was low

You were the gentle push, telling me to go

You lift the weary with a faithful prayer

Showing the broken how much you really care

Through every season, through the joy and the tears

Your steady friendship has anchored my years

Oh, happy birthday, Dorthy, let your cup overflow

With the love and the peace that you constantly show

You are my sweet encouragement, a spark in the dark

Leaving the goodness of God on my heart

Have a blessed birthday today, my dear friend

May His favor surround you, world without end

Hallelujah for the life you live!

Hallelujah for the hope you give!

I am sending up a shout of praise today

For the miracles God placed upon your way

Walk in your purpose, let your spirit soar

Praying this new year brings you so much more

Oh, happy birthday, Dorthy, let your cup overflow

With the love and the peace that you constantly show

You are my sweet encouragement, a spark in the dark

Leaving the goodness of God on my heart

Have a blessed birthday today, my dear friend

God bless you, Dorthy, on that you can depend!
