Nancy

We started as words on a glowing screen

Three states apart, with the world in between

But even through the distance, I felt the spark

Your laugh was a beacon that cut through the dark

I finally felt your touch, and looked in your eyes

No more waiting around under digital skies

We had a long road and a mountain to climb

But I knew you were worth it every time

Oh, Nancy, we’ve weathered the wind and the rain

Through all of the shadows, the joy, and the pain

Now I look at you and I see something new

A beautiful light shining out of you

Your eyes, your touch, your laugh so free

You're exactly who you were meant to be

I watched you fight battles and carry the weight

But grace has a way of rewriting our fate

You found the Lord, and you let the light in

Washing away all the places you've been

You put down the bottle and let the smoke clear

I've never been prouder to stand with you here

The peace in your soul is a beautiful sight

Walking together right into the light

Oh, Nancy, we’ve weathered the wind and the rain

Through all of the shadows, the joy, and the pain

Now I look at you and I see something new

A beautiful light shining out of you

Your eyes, your touch, your laugh so free

You're exactly who you were meant to be

All of those ups and downs we survived

Led to this moment, so truly alive

Three states apart feels so long ago

Now heaven is watching our story grow

It brings me such joy just to see you this strong

Right here by my side is where you belong

Oh, Nancy, we’ve weathered the wind and the rain

Through all of the shadows, the joy, and the pain

Now I look at you and I see something new

A beautiful light shining out of you

Your eyes, your touch, your laugh so free

You're exactly who you were meant to be
