Almighty God

Through a lifetime built on trials, through the shadows of my pain,

I was searching for a rescue, I was weeping in the rain.

But Your loving mercy met me when my spirit was brought low,

You revealed Your sovereign power, gave me grace I didn't know.

Almighty God, You are the Truth, the very Way and Life,

A beacon shining brightly through my sorrow and my strife.

With all my heart and soul, with all my mind and strength I sing,

I love You, my Almighty God, my Sovereign and my King.

In Your righteous, holy judgment, You correct me when I stray,

And Your gentle chastisement keeps me walking in Your way.

I am yielded to the furnace, to the fire You assign,

For the sake of my refinement, by a Maker so divine.

Almighty God, You are the Truth, the very Way and Life,

A beacon shining brightly through my sorrow and my strife.

With all my heart and soul, with all my mind and strength I sing,

I love You, my Almighty God, my Sovereign and my King.

Every burden I have carried, You have used to make me whole,

Pouring out Your endless mercy on the weary in my soul.

Through the deepest, darkest valleys, You were always by my side,

In the arms of the Almighty, I will peacefully abide.

Almighty God, You are the Truth, the very Way and Life,

A beacon shining brightly through my sorrow and my strife.

With all my heart and soul, with all my mind and strength I sing,

I love You, my Almighty God, my Sovereign and my King.
