Michael

Looking in the mirror at the man I've come to be

A fun-loving spirit staring right back at me

I think about the day I stood and said "I do"

Starting up a fire that is burning bright and true

I've always tried to care, tried to do what's right

And keep a little laughter when the days fade to night

So Michael, keep your head held high

Underneath this wide open country sky

You've built a life of love, you've traveled pretty far

Don't change a single thing, stay just the way you are

Yeah, you're an all-around great guy

Just keep on walking with your head held high

Three kids came along and they filled up my heart

I loved every one of them right from the start

Then came the grandkids running through the yard

Making it easy when the world could be hard

Now there's a great-grandchild sitting on my knee

Looking at the branches of this family tree

So Michael, keep your head held high

Underneath this wide open country sky

You've built a life of love, you've traveled pretty far

Don't change a single thing, stay just the way you are

Yeah, you're an all-around great guy

Just keep on walking with your head held high

The years go by like a river rolls along

But every single memory is a verse inside this song

Through the ups and downs, the laughter and the tears

I wouldn't trade a second of these beautiful years

So Michael, keep your head held high

Underneath this wide open country sky

You've built a life of love, you've traveled pretty far

Don't change a single thing, stay just the way you are

Yeah, you're an all-around great guy

Keep looking forward with your head held high

Stay just the way you are
