Tito

We met when we were only kids, before we understood

How time would take our history and turn it into good

Now weekdays we are on the phone, just talking through the night

And weekends spent together make the heavy world feel light

Tito, you're the star that always lights my way

You are my ride or die, every single day

I love you more than any simple words could ever text

You are my person, in this life and the next

I think about that Father's Day, surrounded by your crowd

The way you hold your family close, it makes me feel so proud

We watched the summer parades go by, the colors flying high

The fireworks reflecting in your eyes on the Fourth of July

Tito, you're the star that always lights my way

You are my ride or die, every single day

I love you more than any simple words could ever text

You are my person, in this life and the next

Patient, kind, and gentle, you're honest and you're brave

You inspire me completely with the unconditional love you gave

But the most beautiful thing of all, the way you made us whole

Is claiming my own children like they're woven in your soul

I cherish every moment, every second that we share

Just looking in your eyes and knowing someone's really there

From the kids that we once were, to the future we will see

I'm so glad that you're the one who is walking next to me

'Cause Tito, you're the star that always lights my way

You are my ride or die, every single day

I love you more than any simple words could ever text

You are my person, in this life and the next

Yeah, you are my person, in this life and the next
