Thirty years of little footsteps in the hall

Teaching Pre-K, Lord, I’ve tried to answer the call

I want to be a light, always there when I am needed

Watering the ground where Your holy word is seeded

Loving and caring, I walk by Your grace

Finding Your presence in every single place

Lord, You are my fortress, my shelter in the storm

Through every single season, You keep me safe and warm

I stand upon the promise You whispered to my soul

No weapon formed against me shall prosper or take control

I lift my hands in worship, my spirit sings Your praise

You hold Carolyn's heart through all my days

Four beautiful girls and one handsome boy

The birth of my twins brought a double share of joy

Now I look around at a legacy of grace

Nine grandbabies bringing smiles to my face

We fellowship together, we laugh and we pray

Thanking You, Jesus, for the family You made

Four years ago, I was longing for a fresh start

I packed up my life and I trusted my heart

Moved to a new state, stepping out on faith

Knowing You would guide me and pave the way

Through all the transitions, Your love is the same

I find my protection in the power of Your name
