Melinda

When life was rough and the shadows grew long

You were the one who helped me stay strong

Midnight sleepovers, talking through pain

You held my hand while we weathered the rain

Through every adventure, wherever we roam

You always make me feel right at home

Melinda, my loving and faithful best friend

A strong protector I trust to the end

You fight for the broken, no matter the cost

Guiding me forward whenever I'm lost

My gift from God, my light in the dark

You'll always have a place right here in my heart

Walking together, our faith as our guide

My sissy in Christ standing right by my side

You are my safe haven, a fortress of peace

Where all of my worries and heavy thoughts cease

A beautiful soul with a spirit so true

I see the grace of heaven in you

Melinda, my loving and faithful best friend

A strong protector I trust to the end

You fight for the broken, no matter the cost

Guiding me forward whenever I'm lost

My gift from God, my light in the dark

You'll always have a place right here in my heart

You are my angel, sent straight from above

Wrapping my world in your fierce, steady love

When the heavy winds blow and the skies start to tear

I look to my side, and I know you are there

I will cherish you always, the laughter, the grace

No one could ever step into your place

Keep shining your light for the whole world to see

Thank God for the sister He gave unto me

Melinda, my loving and faithful best friend

A strong protector I trust to the end

You fight for the broken, no matter the cost

Guiding me forward whenever I'm lost

My gift from God, my light in the dark

You'll always have a place right here in my heart

My safe haven, my light in the dark
