Dakota

Dakota, you're the shelter where my spirit safely rests

Patient and protective, I know I am truly blessed

You treat me like a queen, you spoil me with your grace

And every time you make me laugh, I see the Father's face

I still think about that evening, just the two of us

When Heaven came to meet us in the quiet of the dusk

We felt the Holy Spirit, right there at our door

Meeting God on the back porch, who could ask for more?

Te amo mucho gusto, mi amor, my heart is in your hands

Tú eres todo el mundo, mi Rey, exactly as He planned

I love you to the moon and stars, and back to Earth again

My husband and my covering, my partner and my friend

We’re walking in His presence, walking in His light

With you beside me, Dakota, everything is right

We watched the Lord defeat the dark and heal my mother's cancer

We prayed into the heavy night, and Heaven was the answer

And out there at our special spot, the white wolf standing by

A quiet sign of providence beneath the open sky

Remember at the Oyo, when Michael and Gabriel came?

Just bumping into angels as we glorified His name

You lead the way with tenderness, a shepherd to the lost

Bringing people back to God, no matter what the cost

Te amo mucho gusto, mi amor, my heart is in your hands

Tú eres todo el mundo, mi Rey, exactly as He planned

I love you to the moon and stars, and back to Earth again

My husband and my covering, my partner and my friend

We’re walking in His presence, walking in His light

With you beside me, Dakota, everything is right

Now we are preparing for the purpose up ahead

Following the holy path where we are being led

Ministering to broken hearts, helping them to see

The beauty of the Savior and the truth that sets them free

You hold me like a treasure, you keep my spirit strong

In the center of His will with you is where I belong

Te amo mucho gusto, mi amor, my heart is in your hands

Tú eres todo el mundo, mi Rey, exactly as He planned

I love you to the moon and stars, and back to Earth again

My husband and my covering, my partner and my friend

We’re walking in His presence, walking in His light

With you beside me, Dakota, everything is right

Tú eres todo el mundo, mi Rey, forever in His sight
