Shamica Sha-Me-Ca

You got that country soul with a boss's mind

The strongest woman that I could ever find

Tough as nails, but you always keep me laughing

Through every storm, you've been my captain

Wise and beautiful, the way you hold it down

You kept my feet right on the ground

I look at you and see my inspiration

The one who built my whole foundation

Oh, Shamica, I hope you see

Everything you gave just to carry me

I love you more than you will ever know

You planted the seeds and you watched me grow

I appreciate all you've done from the start

I'm holding you right here in my heart

I look back at my high school graduation

Standing there, feeling your validation

Tears in your eyes when I walked across that stage

You helped me turn to a brand new page

Then the day your granddaughter came to the world

I saw you holding my little girl

That tough boss melted into something so sweet

Watching you with her made my life complete

Oh, Shamica, I hope you see

Everything you gave just to carry me

I love you more than you will ever know

You planted the seeds and you watched me grow

I appreciate all you've done from the start

I'm holding you right here in my heart

I know I was a pain in the butt sometimes

Testing your patience and crossing the lines

But your love was a light when the days got dark

No one protects me like my Mommyshark

Yeah, you never gave up when things got hard

You're my Mommyshark, always on guard

Oh, Shamica, I hope you see

Everything you gave just to carry me

I love you more than you will ever know

You planted the seeds and you watched me grow

I appreciate all you've done from the start

I'm holding you right here in my heart

Yeah, I love you, Mommyshark

More than you'll ever know
