Buddy

Lord, You work in modern ways, bringing love into the light

A simple spark on Snapchat made my whole world shine so bright

From that very first connection to the many dates we shared

I saw a man of character, a man who truly cared

We took it from a glowing screen to walking hand in hand

And built a solid foundation where our love will always stand

Oh, Buddy, you’re the husband that I thank the heavens for

With a patient, steady spirit and a wisdom I adore

I lift my hands and pray the Lord will bless you every day

May His favor rest upon you as we walk along this way

When the storms of life are heavy, you never rush the tide

You wait upon the Spirit with your patience as your guide

Every word you speak to me brings comfort to my soul

Your wise and gentle nature always makes my spirit whole

You listen without judgment, you lead with quiet grace

And every time I look at you, I see my happy place

Oh, Buddy, you’re the husband that I thank the heavens for

With a patient, steady spirit and a wisdom I adore

I lift my hands and pray the Lord will bless you every day

May His favor rest upon you as we walk along this way

So I’m sending up a prayer right now, up to the throne of grace

Let blessings pour upon you, let His light shine on your face

For the man that you are, and the beautiful life we built

My cup is overflowing, by His mercy it is filled!

Oh, Buddy, you’re the husband that I thank the heavens for

With a patient, steady spirit and a wisdom I adore

I lift my hands and pray the Lord will bless you every day

May His favor rest upon you as we walk along this way

Yes, I pray the Lord will bless you, Buddy, every single day!
