Angel

You've got a heart that is beautiful and true

Taking care of your kids and everyone but you

You carry the weight of everybody's tears

Been a wonderful sister all of these years

Through your last four surgeries you're battling through

You brush the pain off like it's nothing to you

You hold the whole world in the palm of your hand

But I need you to listen and understand

Oh, Angel, I love you more than words can say

But you can't keep giving all your strength away

It's time to put yourself at the front of the line

Let somebody else make sure you're doing fine

You've held us together through the hardest test

But even an Angel needs a little rest

You deserve to feel better, you deserve to heal

I see the quiet battles that you fight

Hiding your shadows to bring us the light

You're special and good in every single way

Always making sure that the rest are okay

But a beautiful heart can only take so much

Before it starts needing a comforting touch

You've always been the one to answer the call

Now I want to catch you before you can fall

Oh, Angel, I love you more than words can say

But you can't keep giving all your strength away

It's time to put yourself at the front of the line

Let somebody else make sure you're doing fine

You've held us together through the hardest test

But even an Angel needs a little rest

You deserve to feel better, you deserve to heal

Lay down the armor, let out a sigh

Wipe all the worry right out of your eye

You don't have to carry the world by yourself

It's time to start giving that love to yourself

I'm standing right here and I'm holding the door

You don't have to put yourself last anymore

Oh, Angel, I love you more than words can say

So please don't keep giving all your strength away

It's time to put yourself at the front of the line

I'm right here beside you, and you're gonna be fine

You've held us together through the hardest test

But even an Angel needs a little rest

You deserve to feel better, you deserve to heal

My wonderful sister, it's your turn to heal
