Rob

The Sunday light was falling on the floor

I wasn't looking for a love to walk through the door

But there you were, standing in the aisle

Heaven showed its kindness in your smile

We met right there beneath the steeple's view

I didn't know I'd find my best friend in you

Oh, Rob, you are a blessing I can hold

A caring heart that never will grow cold

You're always reaching out to help and guide

I thank the Lord that you are by my side

Amazing grace brought you into my view

I'm lifting up a prayer of thanks for you

When shadows fall, you're always quick to stay

You help to wash the heavy doubts away

Your gentle spirit is a quiet peace

With every word, you make my worries cease

It is an amazing thing to see you care

A living answer to a whispered prayer

Oh, Rob, you are a blessing I can hold

A caring heart that never will grow cold

You're always reaching out to help and guide

I thank the Lord that you are by my side

Amazing grace brought you into my view

I'm lifting up a prayer of thanks for you

From the sanctuary where it all began

To walking through this journey, hand in hand

The maker of the stars knew what I'd need

The greatest friend to comfort and to lead

Oh, Rob, you are a blessing I can hold

A caring heart that never will grow cold

You're always reaching out to help and guide

I thank the Lord that you are by my side

Amazing grace brought you into my view

I'm lifting up a prayer of thanks for you

Yes, heaven gave me a best friend in you
