Vicki

We were high school sweethearts, young and free

But the years rolled on and we drifted apart

I thought you were just a memory to me

A faded photograph tucked in my heart

Then out of the blue, my phone lit up bright

A friend request from you changed my whole life

Oh, Vicki, you protect this heart of mine

You encourage my dreams and you make them take flight

With your playful humor and your sweet romance

I'm thanking the Lord for this second chance

You show me your love and you seal my fate

What God put together, let no man separate

We started talking and we finally met

And every day since has been a sweet surprise

You've got a humor that I can't forget

And unconditional love in your eyes

You're so affectionate, holding me tight

You don't just say the words, you prove them right

Oh, Vicki, you protect this heart of mine

You encourage my dreams and you make them take flight

With your playful humor and your sweet romance

I'm thanking the Lord for this second chance

You show me your love and you seal my fate

What God put together, let no man separate

We lost each other for a chapter or two

But the story was always leading to you

Now you're my fiancé, my forever friend

And I'm never letting you wander again

Oh, Vicki, you protect this heart of mine

You encourage my dreams and you make them take flight

With your playful humor and your sweet romance

I'm thanking the Lord for this second chance

You show me your love and you seal my fate

What God put together, let no man separate
