Pastor Pete

You walk in the light, guided by His grace

With a patient heart shining right on your face

Pastor Pete, you’re a man who fears the Lord above

Leading the congregation with a spirit of love

You speak with a kindness that comforts the soul

A true man of God making heavy hearts whole

Oh, we lift up our voices and send up a praise

For the wisdom you share and the hope that you raise

You’re more than a speaker on whom we depend

You are my pastor, and you are my friend

We love you, we’re thankful you’re here in our life

Guiding us safely through trouble and strife

Four years of a friendship so special and true

I've grown in the Spirit by listening to you

A teacher of Scripture, a guide in the dark

Your gentle instruction has left a deep mark

You walk out the sermons you preach from the floor

Showing us Jesus and opening the door

Oh, we lift up our voices and send up a praise

For the wisdom you share and the hope that you raise

You’re more than a speaker on whom we depend

You are my pastor, and you are my friend

We love you, we’re thankful you’re here in our life

Guiding us safely through trouble and strife

Hallelujah, we count every prayer

Knowing our brother is always right there

God-fearing and humble, steady and strong

You gave us a reason to sing a new song

We thank the good Lord for the gift of this man

Following closely to Heaven's great plan

Oh, we lift up our voices and send up a praise

For the wisdom you share and the hope that you raise

You’re more than a speaker on whom we depend

You are my pastor, and you are my friend

We love you, we’re thankful you’re here in our life

Pastor Pete, you're a blessing, a light in our life!
