CJ

Gathered together for family dinners

Sharing our stories as evening descends

I look at you, CJ, and see who you are

A nephew, a blessing, a friend

You have a heart that is loving and caring

A gentle compassion you freely bestow

And there is a truth I just want you to hear

A promise I need you to know

CJ, remember you are always loved

Held by a grace that will never let go

You are patient and wise, a gift to this life

More than you could ever know

Through every season, whatever you do

Remember the love that is resting on you

I still remember our days at the condo

A mischievous spark in a little boy's eye

You threw my pin down the stairs from the balcony

Watching it tumble and watching it fly

You locked your mom out on that balcony too

And later you locked me outside in the breeze

Those funny old memories still make me smile

When I think of the boy who held all of the keys

CJ, remember you are always loved

Held by a grace that will never let go

You are patient and wise, a gift to this life

More than you could ever know

Through every season, whatever you do

Remember the love that is resting on you

From the boy with a grin at the sliding glass door

To a soul we respect and we deeply adore

You are patient, you're wise, you are steady and true

There is so much of goodness reflected in you

So CJ, remember you are always loved

Held by a grace that will never let go

You are patient and wise, a gift to this life

More than you could ever know

Through every season, whatever you do

Remember the love that is resting on you

Yes, remember you are always loved.
