Angelina

I’ve treasured every minute since the day that you were born

You and your sister and the cousins taking on the world

I still expect to see your car pulling up the drive

Waiting for you to walk through the door and bring the room to life

You were always listening, always stepping in to help

Putting everybody else ahead of yourself

Oh, Angelina, with that pretty smile

You could make the heavy times feel easy for a while

Always showing up when your mom or sisters called

A ride, a place to go, you’d be there through it all

And for your little girl, you gave a love that couldn't end

You made sure Alianna had everything and then some

I miss the way we’d visit, just sitting round and laughing

Watching you and your sisters, and all the kids just hanging

You, your mom, and little sister, terrorizing one another

A bond so deep and crazy, there was nothing like each other

You were the one who brought the joy when we were feeling low

Now there's a quiet in the house where your laughter used to go

Oh, Angelina, with that pretty smile

You could make the heavy times feel easy for a while

Always showing up when your mom or sisters called

A ride, a place to go, you’d be there through it all

And for your little girl, you gave a love that couldn't end

You made sure Alianna had everything and then some

We know you're in good hands with the ones who went before

Getting babied by your grandparents on a peaceful shore

Aunty Annette is right beside you, standing in the light

While we're down here missing you in the middle of the night

Oh, Angelina, with that pretty smile

Watch over us from heaven, let us feel it for a while

Keep an eye on Alianna, your sisters, and your mom

We’ll hold onto your memory until our time has come

When we meet again, we'll see you waiting at the door

With everything we needed, and then some, like before
