Jose

We were just teenagers when this started

But I already knew the man you'd be

So kind and strong, with an open heart

An amazing soul right in front of me

You always had that quiet, steady strength

A loyalty that goes to any length

Oh, Jose, you kept your promise to me

You beat the odds and made our love complete

We proved everybody wrong, standing tall and strong

That's why I'm dedicating you this song

Thank you for loving me, holding me tight

From the fading sunset to the morning light

The world tried to put a wall between us

Those lonely nights while you were doing time

But I waited, 'cause I knew your spirit

I knew your heart was forever mine

Now I watch you working hard every single day

Building up our life in every kind of way

Oh, Jose, you kept your promise to me

You beat the odds and made our love complete

We proved everybody wrong, standing tall and strong

That's why I'm dedicating you this song

Thank you for loving me, holding me tight

From the fading sunset to the morning light

They didn't see the vision that we had

Through the hardest years, when things were looking bad

You walked through the fire and cleared the smoke

You honored every single word you spoke

You made it out, baby, you made it real

You don't even know how proud you make me feel

Oh, Jose, you kept your promise to me

You beat the odds and made our love complete

We proved everybody wrong, standing tall and strong

Right here by your side is where I belong

Thank you for loving me, holding me tight

Through every sunset and sunrise of our life
