Camillia

Six years ago, I held you tight

A tiny baby in the morning light

Then you were sitting up, all on your own

Crawling across the floor, look how you've grown

I was right there for your very first walk

And smiling so big when you started to talk

The sweetest sound that I ever knew

Was hearing "Gammy" coming from you

Oh, Camillia, you're growing up so fast

I want to make every single second last

From preschool graduation to the kindergarten door

Smart, funny, beautiful, I couldn't love you more

You're getting taller every single day

Chasing the sun and leading the way

I love you more than you'll ever know

Camillia, I just love watching you grow

You've got a spirit that loves the outdoors

Always looking for a world to explore

I still remember our first fishing trip

Holding the pole with a careful grip

We run through the yard catching butterflies

With a bright little sparkle in your eyes

Picking wildflowers on our afternoon walks

Searching the dirt for different shaped rocks

Oh, Camillia, you're growing up so fast

I want to make every single second last

From preschool graduation to the kindergarten door

Smart, funny, beautiful, I couldn't love you more

You're getting taller every single day

Chasing the sun and leading the way

I love you more than you'll ever know

Camillia, I just love watching you grow

You're not that little baby from six years ago

You're reading and learning with so much to show

You're braver and smarter with every sunrise

But you'll always be perfect in Gammy's eyes

Oh, Camillia, you're growing up so fast

I want to make every single second last

From preschool graduation to the kindergarten door

Smart, funny, beautiful, I couldn't love you more

You're getting taller every single day

Chasing the sun and leading the way

I love you more than you'll ever know

Camillia, I just love watching you grow
