June

Five little years of a bright, shining light

A sweet, loving spirit that made the world right

Running with an energy that filled up every room

Our beautiful girl, our precious June

I wish we had more time with you down here upon the earth

To hold you close and celebrate the blessing of your birth

But God had other plans for a heart so pure and true

Now you're a beautiful angel, and heaven's holding you

I can still hear the words that we would always say

A tender little promise that will never fade away

"I love you a bushel and a peck," I'd whisper in your ear

"And a hug around the neck," to keep your memory near

I wish we had more time with you down here upon the earth

To hold you close and celebrate the blessing of your birth

But God had other plans for a heart so pure and true

Now you're a beautiful angel, and heaven's holding you

Lord, it brings us sorrow, but we bow to Your design

You called our little niece to come and let her spirit shine

She's resting in Your glory now, wrapped up in Your grace

Until the day we meet again and see her smiling face

Oh, I wish we had more time with you down here upon the earth

To hold you close and celebrate the blessing of your birth

But God had other plans for a heart so pure and true

Now you're a beautiful angel, and heaven's holding you

Yes, you're our beautiful angel, and heaven's holding you
