Rita

I cherish the hours we sit down and talk

The laughs that we share and the memories we walk

I hear your sweet voice and I feel so at home

With a wonderful mother, I'm never alone

Beautiful Rita, so tender and kind

Leaving the worries and troubles behind.

Fear not, for I am with you, whatever we face

Wrapped up in a wonderful mother's embrace

You are my best friend, so caring and true

I'm grateful to God for the blessing of you

Oh, I love you so much, and I want you to know

I'll be by your side everywhere that you go.

I look back and smile on your woman's world days

The strength and the beauty you've shown in your ways

Through all of the seasons, the sunshine and rain

You carried my burdens and softened the pain

Now it's my turn to hold you and be your safe place

And bring a warm smile to your beautiful face.

Fear not, for I am with you, whatever we face

Wrapped up in a wonderful mother's embrace

You are my best friend, so caring and true

I'm grateful to God for the blessing of you

Oh, I love you so much, and I want you to know

I'll be by your side everywhere that you go.

The Lord knew exactly the heart that I'd need

He gave me an angel in word and in deed

You've given me comfort, you've given me light

Now let me stand by you and make it all right.

Fear not, for I am with you, whatever we face

Wrapped up in a wonderful mother's embrace

You are my best friend, so caring and true

I'm grateful to God for the blessing of you

Yes, I love you so much, more than words can convey

My beautiful Rita, forever and always.
