Wendy

I didn't know what I was walking into

Just a blind date, hoping for someone true

But the second you smiled and looked up at me

Those green eyes were all that I could see

We started talking and the whole world spun

Right then and there, I knew you were the one

Oh, Wendy, I love you more than life

I thank my lucky stars that you're my wife

From that very first night when we took a chance

To the beautiful family we hold in our hands

You're the beat of my heart, my guiding light

Wendy, I love you more than life

Now the years have rolled by, and our love's only grown

We've built a good life that we call our own

And seeing you with Auggie just melts my heart

You've loved that sweet boy right from the start

When he looks up at you and you hold him close

Those are the moments I cherish the most

Oh, Wendy, I love you more than life

I thank my lucky stars that you're my wife

From that very first night when we took a chance

To the beautiful family we hold in our hands

You're the beat of my heart, my guiding light

Wendy, I love you more than life

Who knew a blind date could lead to all this?

To a grandson's laugh and a morning kiss

Those green eyes still shine just as bright as back then

If I had to, I'd do it all over again

Oh, Wendy, I love you more than life

I thank my lucky stars that you're my wife

From that very first night when we took a chance

To the beautiful family we hold in our hands

You're the beat of my heart, my guiding light

Wendy, I love you more than life

Yeah, those green eyes are still my favorite sight

Wendy, I love you more than life
