Josie Brunetto

Josie Brunetto, you give all you have

Always the first one to offer a hand

Putting everybody else at the front of the line

Sharing your spirit and giving your time

Dependable, joyful, so faithful and true

There is no limit to the caring you do

You carry a love that is heavy and deep

But you have a beautiful promise to keep

So listen to yourself, not with your head but your heart

Don't let the outside world tear you apart

Don't let them distract you or change who you are

Keep smiling always, exactly as you are

You are the only one, perfectly free

Don't be what anyone wants you to be

You are forgiving, respectful and kind

Leaving the shadows and anger behind

A social light shining wherever you go

A responsible friend I am lucky to know

You're always so helpful, you carry the weight

But don't let the crowd try to dictate your fate

When people step in and they get in your ear

Just hold on to all of the magic right here

And listen to yourself, not with your head but your heart

Don't let the outside world tear you apart

Don't let them distract you or change who you are

Keep smiling always, exactly as you are

You are the only one, perfectly free

Don't be what anyone wants you to be

When they try to mold you and push you around

Just stand in your truth, keep your feet on the ground

You always put others ahead of your needs

But now it's your turn to follow your leads

Don't let them convince you to follow their way

Let your own inner voice have the final say

Just listen to yourself, not with your head but your heart

Don't let the outside world tear you apart

Don't let them distract you or change who you are

Keep smiling, Josie, exactly as you are

You are the only one, perfectly free

Don't be what anyone wants you to be

Listen to your heart, and just be you for me
