Truen

In the quiet of the room, I hold you close

A beautiful blessing that heaven chose

Rocking back and forth in the gentle light

Watching you rest as the day turns to night

I pull you in near and I start to hum

A melody of grace for my sweet grandson

Oh, Truen, you are my sunshine

A ray of heaven, so warm and kind

When I see your smile, the shadows part

You brought a new morning to my heart

I’ll sing it to you now and all my life through

You are my sunshine, and Truen, I love you

There is a warmth in the way that you care

A pure kind of love that is wonderfully rare

Every time you smile, the whole room glows

With a peaceful light that just overflows

I thank the Lord for the joy you bring

And the simple little song that we always sing

Oh, Truen, you are my sunshine

A ray of heaven, so warm and kind

When I see your smile, the shadows part

You brought a new morning to my heart

I’ll sing it to you now and all my life through

You are my sunshine, and Truen, I love you

Even when the skies turn heavy and gray

The light that you carry won't fade away

I will keep you safe in the arms of prayer

And remember our days in the rocking chair

Oh, Truen, you are my sunshine

A ray of heaven, so warm and kind

When I see your smile, the shadows part

You brought a new morning to my heart

I’ll sing it to you now and all my life through

You are my sunshine, and Truen, I love you

Forever my sunshine, Truen, I love you
