Adriel

I thank the Lord for the gift of you

A little baby boy who grew so strong and true

With a brilliant mind and a joyful spark

Your boundless energy lights up the dark

You've grown into a handsome, muscular man

Guided so gently by the Savior's hand

You make me laugh with the humor you share

A protective spirit, showing how much you care

Adriel, my son, you will always be loved

By me on this earth and by Jesus above

Whenever you need us, we’re right by your side

To protect your heart and be your guide

So walk in the light in whatever you do

Knowing that Jesus and I are here for you

I see your servant's heart on a Sunday morn

Serving food at the church, keeping fellowship warm

And when the worship starts and you begin to sing

It brings tears to my eyes for the joy that it brings

Hearing your great voice lift up in holy praise

Is a memory I'll carry for all of my days

From a child in my arms to the man that I see

You are everything I prayed you would be

Adriel, my son, you will always be loved

By me on this earth and by Jesus above

Whenever you need us, we’re right by your side

To protect your heart and be your guide

So walk in the light in whatever you do

Knowing that Jesus and I are here for you

Keep singing your song, keep serving the Lord

Let His perfect peace be your great reward

You stand as a guard for the people you love

With a tender heart blessed from above

I am so proud of the path that you tread

With the spirit within you and heaven ahead

Oh Adriel, my son, you will always be loved

By me on this earth and by Jesus above

Whenever you need us, we’re right by your side

To protect your heart and be your guide

So walk in the light in whatever you do

Knowing that Jesus and I are always here for you

Yes, Jesus and I will always love you
