Tammy

I still remember walking through those sanctuary doors

Not knowing what the Good Lord had in store

We sat in the same row and started to sing

And right then I knew I had met my twin

From the very first chord and the very first prayer

I found a lifelong friend just sitting right there

Oh, Tammy, don't you ever give up the fight

Even when the heavy clouds are hiding the light

Your faithful heart is a blessing to me

Full of deep love and sweet sincerity

Just hold on a little longer, lay down your doubt

'Cause you know that God is working it all out

You've been a safe place when the waters get deep

A trustworthy promise that you always keep

There's a pure, honest grace in the way that you care

Whenever I need you, you're already there

Two sisters in spirit, walking hand in hand

Trusting the Master and His perfect plan

Oh, Tammy, don't you ever give up the fight

Even when the heavy clouds are hiding the light

Your faithful heart is a blessing to me

Full of deep love and sweet sincerity

Just hold on a little longer, lay down your doubt

'Cause you know that God is working it all out

Sometimes the valley feels so incredibly long

But He gives us the harmony when we lose the song

So lean on my shoulder, just like I lean on yours

He is making a way, He is opening doors

So Tammy, don't you ever give up the fight

Even when the heavy clouds are hiding the light

Your faithful heart is a blessing to me

Full of deep love and sweet sincerity

Just hold on a little longer, lay down your doubt

'Cause you know that God is working it all out

Keep on believing, He's working it all out
