Inez

From the comfort of our quiet talks

To the echoes of our sudden laughter

I cherish every step of this walk

And the memories we're chasing after

Watching you grow into who you are

A mother couldn't be more proud

My sweet Inez, you're a shining star

Standing out in any crowd

So no matter what comes, no matter the weather

Keep your focus on God, He holds it together

Trust in His love in all that you do

He has a beautiful purpose for you

When the road gets tough, just fold your hands and pray

My darling Inez, He will guide your way

You have a spirit so strong and caring

Lifting up everyone that you see

A unique kind of grace you're always sharing

You mean the absolute world to me

You always encourage, you bring the light

With a beauty that shines from the inside out

Inez, you make the dark days bright

I love you beyond a shadow of doubt

So no matter what comes, no matter the weather

Keep your focus on God, He holds it together

Trust in His love in all that you do

He has a beautiful purpose for you

When the road gets tough, just fold your hands and pray

My darling Inez, He will guide your way

There will be mountains, there will be trials

But I know the faith that's behind your smiles

I'll always be here to hold your hand

But God is the rock on which you stand

So lean on His strength when the shadows fall

He is the one who will answer your call

So no matter what comes, no matter the weather

Keep your focus on God, He holds it together

Trust in His love in all that you do

He has a beautiful purpose for you

Keep your eyes on heaven, come what may

My darling Inez, He will guide your way
