Gio Rago

I still remember the day that we met

A moment in time I will never forget

We looked at each other, the feeling was clear

You opened your arms and you told me, "Come here"

We shared a big hug and we started to smile

We stood there and laughed for a beautiful while

Right then I knew I had found a true friend

A bond I could lean on right up to the end

Talking 'bout football and sharing a hug

You're the kind of friend that I'm so proud of

You make my soul feel so warm and so safe

Whenever you're near, it's a happy place

Gio Rago, you're a friend like no other

I look at the sky and say, "God bless one another"

You step in the room with a confident stride

But you've got this patience you don't try to hide

Energetic and bright, you're a spark in the dark

With a loving and caring and generous heart

You always bring out the best side of me

It's as plain and as simple as friendship can be

Talking 'bout football and sharing a hug

You're the kind of friend that I'm so proud of

You make my soul feel so warm and so safe

Whenever you're near, it's a happy place

Gio Rago, you're a friend like no other

I look at the sky and say, "God bless one another"

From that very first laugh to the games on the screen

We talk about life and the yards in between

A brother in spirit, a steadying hand

I'm grateful to know such a wonderful man

Talking 'bout football and sharing a hug

You're the kind of friend that I'm so proud of

You make my soul feel so warm and so safe

Whenever you're near, it's a happy place

Gio Rago, you're a friend like no other

I look at the sky and say, "God bless one another"

Yeah, my heart is so full, God bless one another
