Sophia

I still remember the very first day

The noise of the world just faded away

Wrapped in my arms, so tiny and new

My whole life changed when I held onto you

You looked up at me and you gave me that smile

And time just stood still for a beautiful while

Sophia, you're always right here in my heart

No matter the distance, we're never apart

Through every season, whatever you do

I promise I'll always be right here for you

Yeah, I'll be there for you, always for you

Look how you're growing, so wise and so bright

Coloring life with your own kind of light

With your crafty hands and your beautiful mind

You're the funniest spirit that I'll ever find

So lovable, baby, in all that you do

I count every blessing that led me to you

Sophia, you're always right here in my heart

No matter the distance, we're never apart

Through every season, whatever you do

I promise I'll always be right here for you

Yeah, I'll be there for you, always for you

Time keeps on turning, the years slip away

But the bond that we share gets deeper each day

If you ever feel heavy or need a safe space

Just run back to me and that first warm embrace

Sophia, you're always right here in my heart

No matter the distance, we're never apart

Through every season, whatever you do

I promise I'll always be right here for you

Yeah, I'll be there for you, always for you

My sweet granddaughter, I'm right here for you
