Desire

Desire, my beautiful girl, so unique

A creative soul with a spirit so deep

I cherish our laughter, the love that we share

Your protective nature, the way that you care

You're kind to the core, a light in my life

We held each other up through the sorrow and strife

I am so grateful for you, Desire

You walk with such strength through the heaviest fire

You stepped up exactly how Jerome would have wanted

Sharing your heart even when it's exhausted

Never give up, you're a treasure to me

I'm so blessed to be your mom, eternally

When we lost your brother, the world went so cold

But we became each other's anchor to hold

I'll never forget when I couldn't stand

You quietly took those pills from my hand

You sat by my side, no judgment, just grace

You saw all my pain and you stayed in that place

I am so grateful for you, Desire

You walk with such strength through the heaviest fire

You stepped up exactly how Jerome would have wanted

Sharing your heart even when it's exhausted

Never give up, you're a treasure to me

I'm so blessed to be your mom, eternally

It's hard to stay open when life leaves a scar

But I want you to know just how special you are

Keep using your talents, let your true colors show

You saved my life, and I need you to know

I am so grateful for you, Desire

You walk with such strength through the heaviest fire

You stepped up exactly how Jerome would have wanted

Sharing your heart even when it's exhausted

Never give up, you're a treasure to me

I'm so blessed to be your mom, eternally
