Jimmy

Jimmy, my firstborn, where my story begins

Through all of life's changes, the losses and wins

I cherish the quiet, the time that we spend

Just going for walks, my son and my friend

I want you to remember, I'm here for you always

Through the shadows of night and the light of your days

I will love you no matter what, right from the start

You will always and forever be in my heart

You're smart and you're strong, you're creative and warm

A kind, funny spirit to weather the storm

You're the best son and brother, so loving and true

And fat Mikey has the best caregiver in you

I want you to remember, I'm here for you always

Through the shadows of night and the light of your days

I will love you no matter what, right from the start

You will always and forever be in my heart

Every step on the pavement, every mile that we clear

I look at you, Jimmy, and hold you so dear

You carry a goodness that never will fade

I am so proud of the man you were made

I want you to remember, I'm here for you always

Through the shadows of night and the light of your days

I will love you no matter what, right from the start

You will always and forever be in my heart

Yes, you'll always and forever be right in my heart
