Sarah

I watch the way you move through the days

With a gentle touch and a steady grace

You give so much of yourself away

But the love never leaves your face

Sarah, I'm amazed by who you've grown to be

The kindest soul I will ever see

Oh, you have a heart of gold

The most beautiful story I've watched unfold

Loving and giving, so deeply kind

A rarer spirit I could never find

You take the shadows and make them bright

Sarah, you are a guiding light

I think about those drives in the afternoon

When the whole world fades to a favorite tune

Riding in the car, just letting it go

Singing out loud with Emmett and Theo

The voices floating on the passing breeze

Those are my favorite memories

I see the endless patience you hold when the days get long

You are his safe place, you keep him strong

Navigating his world with a tender hand

Showing your boy that you understand

You meet him right where he needs you to be

With a love that is unconditional and free

Because you have a heart of gold

The most beautiful story I've watched unfold

Loving and giving, so deeply kind

A rarer spirit I could never find

You take the shadows and make them bright

Sarah, your heart of gold is shining bright
