Bethany

I lifted my hands and I prayed for a child

Trusting the Lord through the waiting and trials

He answered my prayers and He gave me a friend

A beautiful miracle I'll hold to the end

I am so honored He chose me to be

The mother of someone so special to me

Bethany, my daughter, my beautiful light

You're helpful and loving, you make my world bright

You are my best friend, so faithful and true

Oh, Bethany, I just love, loving you

From the moment of birth, every day has been sweet

Through all our vacations, the memories we keep

Singing on road trips, just you and me

Sharing our hearts in a sweet harmony

And I'll never forget the pure joy on your face

When I surprised you and your favorite singer took the stage

Bethany, my daughter, my beautiful light

You're helpful and loving, you make my world bright

You are my best friend, so faithful and true

Oh, Bethany, I just love, loving you

I pray Psalm ninety-one over your days

That He will protect you and shelter your ways

And when the mountains seem too hard to move

Remember Luke one thirty-seven is true

With God, my sweet girl, there is nothing He can't do

Bethany, my daughter, my beautiful light

You're helpful and loving, you make my world bright

You are my best friend, so faithful and true

Oh, Bethany, I just love, loving you

My answered prayer, my whole life through

Bethany, I just love, loving you
