Mary Frances

From the days we were little to the women we grew to be

You were always a friend, standing right next to me

Through the sunshine and the rain, the good times and the bad

We always had each other's backs, giving everything we had

You work so hard with steady hands, a spirit built so strong

And every time I needed you, it never took you long

Oh, Mary Frances, you shine with the light of the Lord

A faithful heart, a hard worker, leaning on His word

The scripture says there’s faith and hope, and grace sent from above

But the greatest of these is the way you love

Yes, the greatest of these is love

Now the years have turned the pages, and we're living miles apart

But no amount of distance puts a border on my heart

I close my eyes and I can see the sister that I know

Carrying the love of God wherever she may go

We're bound by every memory, through every joy and tear

Even across the highway lines, I always feel you near

Oh, Mary Frances, you shine with the light of the Lord

A faithful heart, a hard worker, leaning on His word

The scripture says there’s faith and hope, and grace sent from above

But the greatest of these is the way you love

Yes, the greatest of these is love

The Lord is our shepherd, He restores the soul

He leads us by still waters, and makes the spirit whole

Even through the valley, we will never fear the dark

His goodness and His mercy overflow inside your heart

My cup runneth over, just having you as mine

A sister and a blessing till the end of time

Oh, Mary Frances, you shine with the light of the Lord

A faithful heart, a hard worker, leaning on His word

First Corinthians tells us of the gifts sent from above

Faith and hope will guide us, but the greatest is your love

Mary Frances, you will always be right here inside my heart

Bound by the greatest of these, no matter how far apart!
