Jack

Down at the beach, with the sun on the sand

I held up a message right there in my hand

A paddle talk sign just to say "you're cute"

I didn't know then it was the start of me and you

Now we're out on the boat, just riding the waves

Building a life that I wouldn't trade

Oh Jack, you're the one who takes care of my heart

My very best friend, right from the start

With your eyes on the Lord and a hand out to help

I love you much more than words could ever tell

Through all of our days, whatever we do

My best friend is you

We're casting a line or pitching a tent

Every minute together is beautifully spent

Taking the golf cart out, catching the breeze

While Banjo chases frisbees under the trees

It's the simple moments that make up our life

And make me so grateful to be your wife

Oh Jack, you're the one who takes care of my heart

My very best friend, right from the start

With your eyes on the Lord and a hand out to help

I love you much more than words could ever tell

Through all of our days, whatever we do

My best friend is you

You always know exactly how to make me laugh

You'd give a total stranger the shirt off your back

A man of such faith, so steady and true

I thank God every day that He led me to you

Oh Jack, you're the one who takes care of my heart

My very best friend, right from the start

With your eyes on the Lord and a hand out to help

I love you much more than words could ever tell

Through all of our days, whatever we do

I love you so much, my best friend is you
