Charles

The very first second you walked in the room

I felt all the shadows just vanish and bloom

Love at first sight, oh, it hit me so deep

A kindhearted promise I knew I would keep

Charles, when you looked in my eyes, I just knew

Every prayer I had whispered was leading to you

'Cause what God has for me, is meant just for me

It’s written in love, it’s a sweet destiny

I try to live right, keep my spirit so true

And heaven rewarded my journey with you

Loving and faithful, my wonderful man

Holding my heart in the palm of your hand

You surprise me with gifts that are beautiful, sweet

But your caring soul makes the picture complete

You always know how to make me just smile

Your funny remarks make the hard days worthwhile

Through every season, you stay by my side

My faithful companion, my joy and my guide

'Cause what God has for me, is meant just for me

It’s written in love, it’s a sweet destiny

I try to live right, keep my spirit so true

And heaven rewarded my journey with you

Loving and faithful, my wonderful man

Holding my heart in the palm of your hand

I look at the life that we're sharing today

And I wouldn't have it any other way

A love this devoted is rare and divine

Oh Charles, I’m so grateful to know that you're mine

'Cause what God has for me, is meant just for me

It’s written in love, it’s a sweet destiny

I try to live right, keep my spirit so true

And heaven rewarded my journey with you

Loving and faithful, my wonderful man

I'll love you forever, the best that I can
