Dasha

I remember the moment you came to this world

My very first blessing, my beautiful girl

Dasha, the Lord poured His light in your soul

With a spirit of kindness to make broken whole

You grew up in grace with a heart open wide

With heaven's compassion right there by your side

I will forever love you, my beautiful child

Reflecting His mercy, so tender and mild

Selfless and loving, so faithful and true

I thank the good Lord for the gift that is you

Forever and always, on this you depend

My love for you, Dasha, will never end

When the shadows grew long and the trials were deep

You gave up your comfort, a vigil to keep

You packed up your life and you moved right back home

So your dying father would not be alone

You held him, you helped him, you stayed through the night

A servant of God in the fading of light

I will forever love you, my beautiful child

Reflecting His mercy, so tender and mild

Selfless and loving, so faithful and true

I thank the good Lord for the gift that is you

Forever and always, on this you depend

My love for you, Dasha, will never end

Compassionate spirit, so helpful and kind

Leaving your own expectations behind

You supported us all when the teardrops would fall

Answering heaven's most difficult call

You carry the peace of the Lord in your hands

A comforting rock where our family stands

I will forever love you, my beautiful child

Reflecting His mercy, so tender and mild

Selfless and loving, so faithful and true

I thank the good Lord for the gift that is you

Forever and always, on this you depend

My love for you, Dasha, will never end
