Kathy

When I look around the room at the family we've made

I thank the Lord for the foundation He laid

But there is a light shining so bright to me

When I look at my beautiful daughter, Kathy

You bring a warmth when we all congregate

A spirit of love that we celebrate

Oh, I thank the Lord for a heart like yours

For the generous love that you always pour

You are patient and gentle, so selfless and kind

A greater blessing, I could never find

I lift my hands and I praise the sky

For the gift of Kathy in my life

When the family gathers and the house gets loud

You are a peaceful presence in the middle of the crowd

Giving your time, never asking for a thing

Reflecting the love of the Heavenly King

I watch how you care for everyone near

And I want to make my gratitude clear

Oh, I thank the Lord for a heart like yours

For the generous love that you always pour

You are patient and gentle, so selfless and kind

A greater blessing, I could never find

I lift my hands and I praise the sky

For the gift of Kathy in my life

Every prayer I whispered when you were small

I see how the Father has answered them all

I appreciate the woman you've come to be

A living testament of His grace to me

Through every season, through every year

I am just so grateful that you are here

Oh, I thank the Lord for a heart like yours

For the generous love that you always pour

You are patient and gentle, so selfless and kind

A greater blessing, I could never find

I lift my hands and I praise the sky

For the gift of Kathy in my life

Yes, I thank God for Kathy in my life
