Christy

We share the family branches, the roots run deep and wide

But having you as my best friend is my greatest pride

You're my cousin by blood, but a sister to my soul

Your beautiful spirit just makes me whole

Every time I see you, you bring a brighter day

Christy, there is something that I just need to say

Oh, you’re pouring out love, like a river running wild

I see the heaven in your eyes when you look at your child

A beautiful mama, guiding her son

My closest companion when the day is done

Oh, Christy, you shine with a light from above

My best friend, wrapped in a mother’s love

I watch the way you hold him, the patience in your smile

You make every single moment feel so worthwhile

Spending all your time just teaching him to grow

It’s the sweetest kind of blessing that I will ever know

You give him your heart, you give him your days

I stand back and marvel at your loving ways

Oh, you’re pouring out love, like a river running wild

I see the heaven in your eyes when you look at your child

A beautiful mama, guiding her son

My closest companion when the day is done

Oh, Christy, you shine with a light from above

My best friend, wrapped in a mother’s love

Lord knows it ain't easy, but you make it look so sweet

Guiding those little footsteps, making his life complete

You lift up the family, you lift up my heart

I knew you were a treasure right from the start

Yes, you are! Oh, yes, you are!

Oh, you’re pouring out love, like a river running wild

I see the heaven in your eyes when you look at your child

A beautiful mama, guiding her son

My closest companion when the day is done

Oh, Christy, you shine with a light from above

My best friend forever, wrapped in a mother’s love!
