Little Bit

From the very moment you were born

I knew you'd be a shelter in the storm

You keep your head down, always working hard

A humble spirit with a fighter's heart

You’re the one who leaves the door unlocked

For anyone who ever needs to talk

Oh, Little Bit, I hope you see

Just how much you are loved by me

When the world gets heavy and the shadows stand

God has you in the palm of His hand

Whenever you have mountains to get through

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

I think about our quiet times alone

The safest space that I have ever known

I come to you to vent, to clear my mind

And you just listen, patient and kind

You made my birthday feel so full of light

You wrap me up in love and make it right

Oh, Little Bit, I hope you see

Just how much you are loved by me

When the world gets heavy and the shadows stand

God has you in the palm of His hand

Whenever you have mountains to get through

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

You’re the strongest sister I’ve ever met

Encouraging me when I start to fret

You fight for others, you lift up the weak

Now it's my turn to give you the truth that you seek

You are deeply loved, more than words can say

He is walking beside you every single day

Oh, Little Bit, I hope you see

Just how much you are loved by me

When the world gets heavy and the shadows stand

God has you in the palm of His hand

Whenever you have mountains to get through

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

From the day you were born until the very end

Little Bit, you're in the palm of His hand
