Susie

I still remember how this story starts

Christ Community, where you caught my eye

Sitting in that college group, you stole my heart

And in our class at Grace as days went by

I watched the way you smiled and knew right then

I'd found a love I'd never find again

Susie, you shine the light of Christ everywhere you go

With a gentle spirit and a patient soul

You mean so much to me, I want the world to know

I cherish you, and I love you so

You are the greatest blessing I could ever hold

It is no surprise that everybody loves you

You have a warmth that draws them to your side

You always see the good in everyone you meet

With open arms and nothing left to hide

Your loving nature is a steady flame

I am so incredibly proud to share your name

Susie, you shine the light of Christ everywhere you go

With a gentle spirit and a patient soul

You mean so much to me, I want the world to know

I cherish you, and I love you so

You are the greatest blessing I could ever hold

Since those early days when we were back in school

You've been the steady peace within my life

I thank the Lord for giving you to me

I am so honored just to call you wife

You show me what it means to truly care

And leave a little piece of heaven everywhere

Susie, you shine the light of Christ everywhere you go

With a gentle spirit and a patient soul

You mean so much to me, I want the world to know

I cherish you, and I love you so

You are the greatest blessing I could ever hold

I love you, Susie, more than you will ever know
