Rick

We started out as high school kids

Just dreaming in the hall

My best friend from the very start

The one who caught my fall

You always know exactly how

To make me laugh out loud

You've been my biggest champion

And always made me proud

Twenty-six years of wearing these rings

Look at the beautiful life that it brings

Five grown children, our pride and our joy

A love that the hard times could never destroy

Even when we drifted, God heard the call

And brought us back stronger, 'cause love conquers all

We’ve had our times of letting go

And seasons spent apart

But heaven always found a way

To tether heart to heart

You've been the rock I lean upon

Through every high and low

The deepest love I've ever found

The sweetest grace I know

Twenty-six years of wearing these rings

Look at the beautiful life that it brings

Five grown children, our pride and our joy

A love that the hard times could never destroy

Even when we drifted, God heard the call

And brought us back stronger, 'cause love conquers all

Oh Rick, we’ve lived such a blessed life

Through the joy and the tears, as your partner and wife

Every time that we broke, grace was holding the pen

To write our love story all over again

Twenty-six years of wearing these rings

Look at the beautiful life that it brings

Five grown children, our pride and our joy

A love that the hard times could never destroy

Even when we drifted, God heard the call

He brought us back stronger, 'cause love conquers all

Yes, He brought us back stronger, 'cause love conquers all
