Beth

We started out just sharing a workspace

But you brought a special light into the place

With a sudden joke that caught me by surprise

I saw the loving kindness in your eyes

You always had a word to lift me up

Pouring your encouragement into my cup

Beth, I will sing of your strength

In the morning, I will sing of your love

When the world gets heavy, you're all I'm thinking of

You are my fortress, my steady ground

My refuge when times of trouble come around

You give so much and never ask for praise

A selfless heart that guides me through the days

Whenever I am doubting, you hold the line

You're so supportive, and I'm glad you're mine

You take the weight and make it feel so light

Just standing next to you makes things alright

Beth, I will sing of your strength

In the morning, I will sing of your love

When the world gets heavy, you're all I'm thinking of

You are my fortress, my steady ground

My refuge when times of trouble come around

From coworkers to partners in this life

You cut through the worries and the strife

Your funny little comments save the day

I love you more than any words can say

So I will sing of your strength

In the morning, I will sing of your love

When the world gets heavy, you're all I'm thinking of

You are my fortress, my steady ground

My refuge when times of trouble come around

Yes, in the morning, I will sing of your love
