Martin Garrison

Martin Garrison, you hold my spirit steady

When my heart was restless, you waited till I was ready

You never rushed the healing, you just stood right by my side

With a patient kind of love where my soul could safely hide

Oh, we’re choosing faith over fear, my love

Trusting in the blessings from the heavens up above

With a promise for tomorrow and your hand inside of mine

Martin, we are stepping in the light, we’re gonna shine

Yeah, it's faith over fear, every step of the way

I remember looking up into the midnight sky

Watching all the stars reflect the devotion in your eye

You traced the constellations shining brightly in the dark

And placed a little piece of heaven right inside my heart

Oh, we’re choosing faith over fear, my love

Trusting in the blessings from the heavens up above

With a promise for tomorrow and your hand inside of mine

Martin, we are stepping in the light, we’re gonna shine

Yeah, it's faith over fear, every step of the way

Lord knows the road was heavy, but you anchored me in grace

You chased away the shadows, put a smile upon my face

Now I'm walking to the altar, leaving all the doubt behind

Thanking God for my fiancé, with a love so true and blind

'Cause we’re choosing faith over fear, my love

Trusting in the blessings from the heavens up above

With a promise for tomorrow and your hand inside of mine

Martin, we are stepping in the light, we’re gonna shine

Hallelujah, faith over fear!

Martin Garrison, our forever starts right here!
