KeNylah

October thirteen, twenty-one, a blessing came my way

You made me a special gramma on that very day

I held my little sweetheart, so beautiful and wise

A caring, smart young lady right before my eyes

From dressing up in fashion to driving little cars

I thank the Lord in heaven for the wonderful soul you are

Oh, KeNylah DeVette Smith, my beautiful butterfly

Spread your wings and let your spirit fly

You can do all things through God, just seek His holy face

Always keep Him first in every time and place

I love you for the person that you've grown to be

You'll always be a precious gift to me

Your daddy taught you early how to lend a helping hand

From steering riding mowers to the four-wheelers you ran

Then you drove his pickup truck, so talented and strong

Now you're a little dancer in the school where you belong

A great and loving sister to a brother and his rodeo

I'm so proud to watch my little sweetheart grow

Oh, KeNylah DeVette Smith, my beautiful butterfly

Spread your wings and let your spirit fly

You can do all things through God, just seek His holy face

Always keep Him first in every time and place

I love you for the person that you've grown to be

You'll always be a precious gift to me

I will miss all of the fun we had when you were small

But I've got the pictures and the videos to recall it all

I will cherish every memory we made along the way

Watching my sweet baby girl growing day by day

Oh, KeNylah DeVette Smith, my beautiful butterfly

Spread your wings and let your spirit fly

You can do all things through God, just seek His holy face

Always keep Him first in every time and place

I love to love you, baby, and I always will

My sweet KeNylah, my sweetheart still
