Hunter

October twelve, two thousand and seven

Felt like I was holding a piece of heaven

I looked in your eyes and my whole world changed

Now I'm watching you grow, and I'm still amazed

You're smart and you're handsome, with a heart so true

Hunter, I'm so grateful that I was given you

I'm so proud of the man you're growing up to be

With every single day, you never cease to amaze me

You just keep moving forward to bigger and better things

With a genuine soul and the hope that you bring

You're tender and caring when push comes to shove

Hunter, you will always have all of my love

I still see us sitting with our lines in the stream

Talking 'bout life and chasing your dreams

Now you're trading that tackle for firefighter gear

Stepping into the rush without any fear

You wear your emotions right there on your sleeve

You're the kind of young man that makes a mother believe

I'm so proud of the man you're growing up to be

With every single day, you never cease to amaze me

You just keep moving forward to bigger and better things

With a genuine soul and the hope that you bring

You're tender and caring when push comes to shove

Hunter, you will always have all of my love

You're a rock for your brothers, you love them with all of your heart

Funny and creative, you've been wise from the start

From a little boy fishing to the hero you are today

I'll be cheering you on every step of the way

'Cause I'm so proud of the man you're growing up to be

With every single day, you never cease to amaze me

You just keep moving forward to bigger and better things

With a genuine soul and the hope that you bring

You're tender and caring when push comes to shove

Hunter, you will always have all of my love

Yeah, keep moving forward, you're all I dreamed of

Hunter, you will always have all of my love
